New York, New York, December 12, 2006 -- Pentagon 2000 Software, Inc. announced today that it has incorporated features that will allow customers to track their compliance with EU directive 2002/95/EC, Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS). This module is available to all customers and can be incorporated into their systems via upgrade.
The RoHS directive seeks to minimize or eliminate the use of certain substances in the manufacture of electronic products to create a better and healthier environment. To be sure that our customers are able to conform, Pentagon has created a RoHS Compliance module designed to allow customers to immediately see whether their parts and products are in compliance. With the US deadlines for compliance on January 1, 2007 and thereafter quickly approaching, Pentagon has taken steps to keep our customers at their usual high rate of productivity while maximizing compatibility with industry standards.
